Zandvoort HGPCA
Classic Team Lotus were pleased to run a pair of Type 18s in the recent HGPCA races run as part of the Zandvoort Masters weekend. Andrew Beaumont was in car #49 (chassis 915) while Andy Middlehurst drove car #4 (chassis 18-907) which belongs to Charles McCabe.
Chris, Tim, Luke and Don from CTL were on-hand to support the drivers at the Zandvoort circuit that will host the F1 teams in September. A big crowd watched some spectacular racing from a full grid of HGPCA cars. In the first race they finished third and fourth Beaumont followed by Middlehurst, but in race two Andrew and Andy battled it out side-by-side for the first three corners before Middlehurst pulled away to take the third step on the podium. Beaumont finishe fifth.
