Watkins Glen podium for Dan Collins!

Dan Collins enjoyed a successful Masters USA season opener at the historic Watkins Glen circuit, bringing the Classic Team Lotus type 91 chassis 8 home in 3rd place.
Chris Dinnage and Rob Ashley had a challenging weekend attending Dan’s 91 and Lee Mowle’s type 78, as one or two technical niggles surfaced on what are both recently restored cars.
Come race day the drivers were able to concentrate on the job in hand and in Race 1 managed 4th and 8th place finishes. The feature race on Sunday coincided with heavy rain, which caused a few extra challenges. Dan came through some drama to make it on to a podium finish. Lee called it a day just before the last lap, as the conditions deteriorated even further.
A good start to the season, overall. Chris and Rob are now heading for Road America and the next round of the Master USA Championship.
