CTL to host Lotus F1 Charity Day at Hethel
Join CTL to celebrate 60 Years of Lotus in Norfolk. This unique event will feature Lotus F1 cars through the decades, on-track action and special displays. Explore the state-of-the-art production line, Lotus road cars from the past 60 years plus the current Lotus models including the amazing Evija. The Hethel site will open its doors to stage an extraordinary event. All admission ticket proceeds will be for the benefit of local charity Priscilla Bacon Hospice.
Motorsport enthusiasts, Lotus fans and families are being offered a unique opportunity to step inside the home of Lotus when Classic Team Lotus stages the Lotus F1 Show at Hethel on Saturday 24 October 2026.
Celebrating 60 years since Lotus established its Norfolk headquarters in 1966, the charity event will open the famous Hethel site to the public for the first time since 2008, showcasing six decades of innovation, engineering excellence and world class motorsport achievement.
Organised by Classic Team Lotus in association with the Eastern Daily Press, East Anglian Daily Times and Colchester Gazette, the event will raise vital funds for Priscilla Bacon Hospice, with every penny from admission tickets going directly to the charity. Organisers hope to raise £60,000 to mark 60 years of Lotus in Norfolk.
The event will see the largest gathering of running Lotus Formula One cars seen in Norfolk since 2010, providing a unique opportunity to hear, see and experience some of the machines that helped establish Lotus as one of the most influential names in motorsport history.
Classic Team Lotus Managing Director Clive Chapman said: "This is a special opportunity to celebrate one of the most important anniversaries in the history of Lotus. For the first time in many years, the public will be welcomed onto the Hethel site to experience the extraordinary heritage of Lotus alongside its exciting future. We are particularly pleased that this event will support Priscilla Bacon Hospice, helping us mark 60 years in Norfolk while making a meaningful difference within our local community."
