John Bowers Trophy to commemorate HGPCA 1960s V8 F1 cars announced at Spa 6-hours race weekend - 10.06.25
One year on from the sad passing of HGPCA stalwart and Lotus afficianado John Bowers, CTL announced they have commissioned a new HGPCA award. At the end of the year luncheon in December, the John Bowers Trophy will be presented to the V8 Driver of the season.

Chris Dinnage from CTL was at the Spa 6-hour weekend to tell HGPCA members about the award and show the off the V8 Climax FWMV trophy that was built up by Kit Lotus in the UK. John was a great fan of the V8 power unit that Andy Middlehurst used to such great effect in the Type 25 at Spa, Monaco and Goodwood, supported by Bob Dance and Lewis Cullington and all the CTL crew all the way from the day he acquired 25/R4 back in 2008.
The weekend also saw some great results from CTL. In the usual mixed Spa conditions, Maxime Castelein took a great third in both HGPCA races in 18/915. Mark Hicks
